Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved holiday classic. The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit. Funny, heartwarming and visually stunning, it’s a universal story about the spirit of Christmas and the indomitable power of optimism.
Academy Award® nominee Benedict Cumberbatch lends his voice to the infamous Grinch, who lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpet with only his loyal dog, Max, for company. With a cave rigged with inventions and contraptions for his day-to-day needs, the Grinch only sees his neighbors in Who-ville when he runs out of food. Each year at Christmas they disrupt his tranquil solitude with their increasingly bigger, brighter and louder celebrations. When the Whos declare they are going to make Christmas three times bigger this year, the Grinch realizes there is only one way for him to gain some peace and quiet: he must steal Christmas. To do so, he decides he will pose as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, even going so far as to trap a lackadaisical misfit reindeer to pull his sleigh.Meanwhile, down in Who-ville, Cindy-Lou Who—a young girl overflowing with holiday cheer—plots with her gang of friends to trap Santa Claus as he makes his Christmas Eve rounds so that she can thank him for help for her overworked single mother. As Christmas approaches, however, her good-natured scheme threatens to collide with the Grinch’s more nefarious one.
Here’s the trailer that was just released:
What did you think? Will Cindy-Lou achieve her goal of finally meeting Santa Claus? Will the Grinch succeed in silencing the Whos’ holiday cheer once and for all? Find out when it appears in theaters November 9, 2018. For more information and the latest updates, please visit http://www.grinchmovie.com

At Seabrook High, it takes GUTS to be Yourself and it’s Zoms vs.Poms, well at least at the beginning of the movie. We made a fun “Zom Pom Friendship Snack Mix” recipe that was super easy to make and perfect for watching “ZOMBIES” together! The mix represents “Zoms” with a bit of green and “Poms” with pink.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own batch of “Zom Pom Friendship Snack Mix”:
1-2 bags of microwave popcorn, popped and cooled down
1 bag of pink (or lime green) candy melts
any kind of colorful sprinkles
fun cups for serving
Pop bags of popcorn in the microwave. Allow to cool down and put into a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
In a separate glass bowl, pour in 1/2 to 3/4 of the bag of candy melts. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds, remove and stir. Do this 2 more times. Add a little bit of vegetable oil to the melts and stir until smooth. Pour over popcorn in the bowl and mix together to coat the popcorn to your liking.
Shake in some fun sprinkles. (You can add other things like chocolate chips, pretzel sticks or small candies too.)
Serve up your mix in cute bowls for an extra fun touch and grab a seat on the couch to watch “ZOMBIES”!

Sherlock Gnomes is coming to theaters THIS Friday, March 23rd and we couldn’t be more excited because we loved the first one and absolutely adore Gnomeo and Juliet! Who wouldn’t? The beloved garden gnomes from Gnomeo and Juliet are back for a whole new adventure in London. When Gnomeo and Juliet first arrive in the city with their friends and family, their biggest concern is getting their new garden ready for spring. However, they soon discover that someone is kidnapping garden gnomes all over London. When Gnomeo and Juliet return home to find that everyone in their garden is missing – there’s only one gnome to call… Sherlock Gnomes. The famous detective and sworn protector of London’s garden gnomes arrives with his sidekick Watson to investigate the case. The mystery will lead our gnomes on a rollicking adventure where they will meet all new ornaments and explore an undiscovered side of the city.
This action-packed sequel features the voices of returning cast, James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Stephen Merchant and Ozzy Osbourne, plus Johnny Depp as Sherlock Gnomes, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Watson and Mary J. Blige as Irene.
If you haven’t already watched the trailer, here it is:
I was inspired to make a Gnomeo and Juliet garden-themed Easter basket this year since the release of “Sherlock Gnomes” is so close to Easter. It was super easy to put together since there seemed to be a bunch of “untraditional” colors of baskets and plastic eggs at the store plus I felt like the red and blue accents went with the gnomes’ colors. I also made a fun “Gnomeo and Juliet” Tic-Tac-Toe Game to go in the Easter basket because honestly, I’m obsessed those little gnomes so much. All you need to do is print out your own copy here and grab 2 different colors of manipulatives, candy or any other small items and play with your favorite little partner. It’s also perfect for using in a classroom or with homeschool curriculum.Do you have plans to go see Sherlock Gnomes when it hits theaters March 23rd? For updates on this film, follow along on the official website, as well as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Also, you can join in on the conversation on social media by using #SherlockGnomes!
