When our family received a very special invitation to SeaWorld San Diego’s Christmas Celebration, we were excited to attend! Located just about an hour south of Orange County, SeaWorld San Diego is just a hop, skip & a jump away from our home.

I grew up watching all of the classic Christmas specials on TV featuring Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer™ so I was on a mission to find Rudolph and all of his friends at SeaWorld!seaworld-christmas-celebration-sceneAs you walk through Rudolph’s Christmastown you’ll find so many adorable areas to take photos over there, as well as fun games that are all Rudolph-themed. We also found Rudolph, himself, and he was ready to take pictures. you have the option to take pictures with Rudolph and a couple of his friends. He is one of my all-time favorites from the series and we had a lot of fun posing with him. seaworld-christmas-celebration-treeRight near the Arctic Wild, in Rudolph’s Christmastown, you’ll find the 40′ Happiest Dancing Christmas Tree. We enjoyed a fun tree lighting ceremony with singing elves and Rudolph. The tree is beautiful and changes colors and light patterns as the music changes. santas-christmas-village-entranceNext, we headed over to Santa’s Christmas Village to find Santa and Mrs. Claus. There are many different activities and things to explore in Santa’s Christmas Village including:

  • Mrs. Claus’ Story Time

  • Real reindeer – You can meet two of Santa’s reindeer who are vacationing in the park for the holidays,

You can also meet Santa in his cottage and have your photo taken with him, using either the PhotoKey services or your own camera.

LEGOLAND® California Resort Unveils New LEGO One World Trade Center in Miniland U.S.A.!

LEGOLAND® California Resort unveiled new LEGO models, featuring One World Trade Center, in the New York skyline section of its Miniland U.S.A. with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Present at the unveiling were some of Carlsbad’s own “Hometown Heroes” from the Carlsbad Police and Fire Departments.  one-world-trade-center-legoland-3Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty also joined the festivities and danced up on stilts while a brass band played for guests and red, white, and blue confetti flew in the air at the finale of the ribbon cutting ceremony. The new One World Trade Center model at LEGOLAND® California Resort is now North America’s tallest LEGO® model. It stands tall and proud in the center of Miniland U.S.A. and was constructed using over 250,000 LEGO Bricks. The model stands 26 feet tall and weighs more than 1000 pounds.  It took 8 Master Model Builders over 1200 hours to complete the model! one-world-trade-center-legoland-5

‘The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure’ All-New Story Opening Feb 6 at LEGOLAND® California Resort

The-LEGO-Movie-4d-A-New-AdventureSuch exciting news for LEGO fans of all ages!  For the first time ever, LEGOLAND® Parks are offering a first look at an exciting new theme park attraction that reunites the stars of “The LEGO® Movie™” in an all-new story appearing exclusively at LEGOLAND® theme parks and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers in 2016. The 30-second clip gives fans the first glimpse of what happened after the blockbuster movie, when Emmet, Wyldstyle, Unikitty, MetalBeard and Benny reunite at the invitation of a shady new character, Risky Business, who plans to open a curious theme park bearing a suspicious resemblance to LEGOLAND®.

Returning to voice their iconic characters are the following actors:

  • Elizabeth Banks (Wyldstyle)
  • Nick Offerman (MetalBeard)
  • Charlie Day (Benny)
  • Alison Brie (Unikitty)
  • Actor, writer and comedian Patton Oswalt lends his voice to the scheming Risky Business, whose Evil Secret Plot requires the heroes to call on the Master Builder skills of a surprise ally to save the day.

The short 3D film will play several times a day at each LEGOLAND® site, with “4D” effects such as wind, water, fog and more bringing the action bursting off the screen and into the audience.

“The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure” will premiere at both LEGOLAND® Florida Resort on Friday, January 28, followed by LEGOLAND® California Resort on Saturday, Feb. 6. The attraction will debut later at LEGOLAND® theme parks and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers worldwide.

Los Angeles-based Pure Imagination Studios is creating “The LEGO® Movie™ 4D A New Adventure” with input from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the talented writer-directors who brought “The LEGO® Movie™” to life, along with contributions from Rob Schrab, who is directing the movie’s eagerly awaited sequel, due in 2018. The-LEGO-Movie-4d

7 Reasons YOU Should Go To Brick-or-Treat Party Nights At LEGOLAND® California Resort



LEGOLAND® California’s Brick-or-Treat Party Nights  are well under way and we’ve already been two weekends in a row! Yep, we loved it so much the opening weekend that we returned last weekend for a 2nd time! The not-too-spooky Halloween party in the park welcomes guests of all ages to enjoy extra special time in the park, from 5  to 9 p.m. but guests who purchased wristbands, can actually enter the park starting at 4 p.m. LEGOLAND is only a hop, skip & a jump from Orange County and Los Angeles, so it’s not a bad drive at all!



Brick-or-Treat Party Nights tickets are offered at a great price!  

For being the biggest kids’ Halloween celebration in San Diego , Brick-or-Treat Party Nights ticket is offered at a great price!  If you just want to attend the event, itself, from 5 to 9 p.m., it’s $45 per person if you buy it that day at LEGOLAND. However, you can also buy tickets online and in advance for $35, which is highly recommended.

  • If you are already visiting the park for the day, you to add the event to your ticket, at Guest Services, for just $20. more ticket to yours for just
  • Passholders are also offered Brick-or-Treat ticktets at a discount. California Annual Pass and Merlin Annual Pass Standard Members can upgrade to purchase a Brick-or-Treat Party Nights event ticket at a discounted price, while event admission is free for Merlin Annual Pass Premium Members, Ambassador and Ambassador Resort Members.

Everyone is welcome to dress up AND there’s a COOL costume contest with prizes!

It’s fun to have the option of dressing up for the occasion with the entire family! I saw all kinds of costumes in the park, ranging from really intricate ones to simple costumes. I also saw people in regular clothes or just wearing a Halloween shirt. Overall, it’s a fun and casual environment and because it’s in Southern California & it’s beautiful weather regardless. (I recommend bringing a light jacket.)

legoland-brick-or-treat-dress-upThe Costume Contest is open to children 12 and under. Guests must be present at the Miniland Stage at the scheduled time for your registered costume contest category. A new contest for each of the three category themes will be held each Brick-or-Treat Party Night in October 3,10, 17, 24, 30 from 5pm-9pm. Participants must sign up at the registration table in the Model Shop Alcove no later than 15 minutes before each contest starts.

There’s REALLY GOOD trick-or-treating and an all-new Candy Quest interactive adventure! 

You can grab an empty bag at one of the candy stations and fill it up! There are stations located throughout the park, as well as 2 BONUS treat stations inside SEA LIFE® Aquarium, which is also part of this event.  Look for the “Boo Crew” as they will be handing out treats to guests including: a Brick-or-Treat Commemorative Brick, a Brick-or-Treat Hat, a LEGO® Magazine, a LEGO® City Collector Magazine, Clif Kids, Clif Kid Z-Bar, and a Shutterfly®promotional card.

legoland-brick-or-treat-bagThis year there are new roaming candy carts this year, where kids can gather treats and other surprises from trail partners: Shutterfly®, LEGO®, Clif Kids™, Honest Kids®, Red Vines®, SMARTCANDY® and and Airheads®.

Trick or Treat Tip: We spent the last 20 minutes just going from station to station and filling up our bags because by that time, there weren’t many people in lines!

Guests can enjoy all of the regular attractions during Brick-or-Treat Party Nights because they’re all open.  There’s even a special Halloween version of “Coast Cruise” as it’s transformed into “Ghost Cruise” just for the event. Note: Splash Battle, Pirate Reef and Soak ~N~ Sail will be close at 6:00 pm each evening. (Some rides subject to ride closure)

Continue dancing the night away at Hubble Bubble’s Dance Party AND at Wanda’s Jellyfish Disco inside Sea Life Aquarium.

For me, the most important reason why I think you should attend Brick-or-Treat Party Nights this weekend is because it’s another chance for you to create more family memories together! I am all about making memories that will last a lifetime! Don’t forget to bring your camera because there are lots of photo opportunities in the park for your memory books!

LEGOLAND® California Resort Spins Out A New Ninjago™ Land Featuring Ninjago™- The Ride, Opening 2016!!! It’s Going to Be the Year of the Ninja!

On  Thursday, September 17, the media anxiously awaited in the theater atLEGOLAND® California Resort  for some exciting announcements revealing the latest details about the addition of a new NINJAGO™ land coming in 2016 and introducing, NINJAGO™- The Ride.

Ninjago-at-LEGOLANDTaiko drummers, ninja warriors and a Spinjitzu Master filled the theater with energy and got the crowd  as LEGOLAND® California Resort announced  After sharing the successes of 2015, General Manager Peter Ronchetti offered details of the exciting new land and unmasked the new ride which features technology guests have never experienced at any other theme park in the world.

Legoland-Ninjago-landGuests will enter the new NINJAGO land through a giant archway behind Imagination Zone leading them into a courtyard where they begin their ninja training. The new land features LEGO® building stations, a game to test reflexes, spinners to test balance, Asian cuisine and a new shopping venue. Interactive experiences will test guests’ physical skills, balance and agility before they can prep for their ultimate training session: NINJAGO – The Ride.

ninjagoNINJAGO – The Ride is manufactured by Triotech, world leader in media based interactive attractions, and features cutting-edge technology that enables guests to control the outcome of their adventure through the power of their hand gestures. Through 3D imagery, high-tech sensors and the use of hand movements in a striking motion, up to four riders per car, representing the four main NINJAGO characters, can blast animated fireballs, lightning, shockwaves and ice as they travel through dojos to master their skills before heading into battle. Riders collect points for their training and battle efforts throughout the ride and scores are displayed when their quest is completed. 4D effects such as heat, smoke and wind are also incorporated throughout the adventure, giving guests the ultimate interactive experience.

Plus, depending on the level of device you choose, it’s actually cutting down that wait time – Express by 25%, Deluxe by 50%, and Ultimate by 90%. The three levels of service vary in price range. This means you can get on more rides with less waiting! Awesome!

  1. Choose your ride from the attractions list on the device and confirm your reservation.
  2. Receive your ride time on the Reserve ‘N’ Ride device screen.
  3. Explore all the Resort has to offer while the Reserve ‘N’ Ride device counts down for you.
  4. When your device beeps and vibrates, it’s your turn to ride!
  5. Go to the special Reserve ‘N’ Ride entrance at your time or any time after.
  6. Show your device to the attendant to be validated.
  7. Enjoy your ride!
  8. Repeat these steps to enjoy your next ride.
